Change just isn't quite happening at as rapid a pace as it should. It is my understanding that the DOJ memo with the crappy language was just about one particular court case challenging DOMA, and there are still legislative efforts being made (and ones that Obama referenced yesterday in signing that mostly meaningless federal employees bill) to overturn DOMA. It is all very confusing, but I'm not quite ready to write him off just yet.
